Innovation in LED Thermal Management
The LED lighting industry continues to evolve, with higher-powered diodes producing brighter light but also generating more heat. Engineers worldwide rely on advanced thermal management solutions, and this is where COFAN’s patented technology stands out.
COFAN’s Super Pillar Technology dissipates heat more than 100 times better than standard MCPCBs, ensuring stable performance in demanding applications. This breakthrough innovation is also applied to UVC LEDs, which have traditionally suffered from short lifespans. By combining the Super Pillar structure with a ceramic substrate, COFAN created the UVC Ceramic PCB, extending durability and reliability for UV lighting solutions.
In collaboration with customers, COFAN also developed the Ultra-RF MCPCB, designed to meet high-frequency demands in routers, Bluetooth devices, and microwave satellites.
For general LED applications, COFAN recommends FR-4 PCBs, while high-powered LEDs above 2 watts benefit most from MCPCBs or the Super Pillar Technology. With these innovations, COFAN continues to deliver industry-leading solutions for PCB and LED thermal management.
